ColorGuard Meeting 6/16/10
* Costume Designed was discussed and approved. A mini-committee was formed to get these made. We just need to set up a time to get them done.
* Fund Raising...Maryann Hansen has graciously agreed to be the Chair of this committee (Thank you tons for that). She will be putting together details on the ideas we discussed & will get that out for everyone in the near future. Possible fund raisers include: Chico Bags, Arby's, Taco Johns, Pulling Weeds, Dance (during school) Fun Run, Car Washes, Teddy Bears (to be sold at games by blankets).
* YARD SALE is set for Sat. 6/26/10 at 436 W. Young, Pocatello From 8am to 3pm April will be putting it in the newspaper on Sun. 6/20. Everyone is asked to price their own items. Items can be dropped off at April's home anytime 6/20-2/25. There will also be a cake raffle - so all guard members are asked to bring a cake to be raffled off. The SnoShack will also be running throughout the sale too. After practice on Tues. 6/22 the guard will be making signs to hang up in various places to advertise. April's phone # is 339-8111 if you have any questions regarding the sale. GUARD CONFIRMED TO BE THERE: ChaAnn, Alyssa, Sheila, Zowie, Lizzie, Bree, Austin, Kinzie, Kyrie, Hayley K., Hailey H.
* Dance lessons are not going to be happening. Kayla has helpers who will be teaching dance at the practices so there will be no extra cost for this! Yeah.
* Jordan's Dad has offered to rebuild our trailer & make us a flag/rifle cart!! A HUGE THANK YOU GOES TO HIM!!!!!
* RIFLES - they have arrived and they are beautiful! Rifle tryouts will be Friday 6/18/10 at practice.
* BLOG - phscolorguard.blogspot.com Kayla will share all information on this blog, so please make sure to check it regularly. It'll keep us all posted in between meetings.
* Color Guard Clinic. Required items to bring: pen, paper, & lots of water (a jug), hat/bandanna, sunglasses, sunscreen, a blanket/towel or sheet, black electrical tape and white electrical tape if you made rifle line, lunch! Do NOT wear jeans - wear comfortable clothes to exercise in. 6/22/10 from 8-2 with lunch from 11:00-11:30. 6/23/10 from 8-2 (Rifles go 8:00-10:30 with lunch 10:30-11:00. Flags join them at 10:50 - 2:00pm. Very important to be at these clinic dates! Huge advantage to have instructor help with skills.
* Band Meeting followed with good discussion on show. Decision was to have Halo go first and Raging Machines go last. Constructive discussion to break into work groups and assign heads for tasks. If you were asked to come up with a prototype - please have ideas to Mr Beckstead and Kayla within next couple weeks.
